Help Delta Communities Thrive
The Delta, MS
The Mississippi Delta’s deep poverty is rooted in a long history of racial discrimination and slavery—barriers that have limited access to education, employment, housing, and healthcare for generations. Partners In Development walks alongside vulnerable families to create opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.
PID’s after-school tutoring program for 4th–12th graders gives students a safe place to study, along with access to a library, computers, and printing. The summer program provides academic support and daily enrichment. Parents gain pathways forward through GED classes, computer-skills training, and professional coaching—while a local clinic and twice-yearly health fairs strengthen family health.
