🎁 Adding a Card to Your Cart
Clicking a card opens a two-step gift builder:
- "How should it arrive?" - One question first: Digital Delivery (email) or a Physical Card in the mail. The $ activation fee that applies to every card is stated right here — no surprises later.
- "Who's this gift for?" - Pick an amount (or enter a custom one), add your recipient's name and email, and optionally a personal message, a future delivery date, or a delivery notification for yourself.

Your card comes on a designed card back. Tap Change next to "Card back" to open the Wrap it picker and choose a different design — like picking the wrapping paper. You can change it any time before adding to cart.

💳 Checkout Process
Checkout opens with a gift-tag recap of exactly what you're buying and who it's going to (e.g. "Amazon $25.00 → Jordan — arriving by email within minutes of payment"), followed by your details, secure card fields, and an itemized summary. The Pay button always shows the exact amount you'll be charged — if anything in your cart changes, the button changes with it.
Cover the Processing Fee (Optional)
A checkbox in the cart and checkout summaries lets you cover our payment-processing costs so your card's full value goes to giving:
- Processing fee: % of your gift subtotal (the exact dollar amount is always shown next to the checkbox)
- This fee IS tax-deductible as part of your donation
- Optional but appreciated — unchecked by default, and your choice is remembered
- Covering it makes your card's full value 100% charitable

The confirmation page shows your order number, a "What happens next" list for each gift ("$25.00 card → Jordan — on its way, arriving within minutes"), and confirms the email your receipt goes to. Each recipient picks the charity their gift supports — that choice is part of the gift.

"Payment Failed" Error
Your cart is preserved - you won't lose your selections!

- Ensure billing address matches your card
- Check card has sufficient funds
- Try a different payment method
Email Not Received (Digital Cards)
- Check spam/junk folders
- Verify email address is correct in cart
- Allow up to 15 minutes for delivery
- Contact support after 1 hour with order number
Cart Items Disappeared
- Carts expire after 24 hours
- Items removed if no longer available
- Check you're on same device/browser
- Re-add items if expired
